Depression
Depression
Depression is a serious mood disorder that goes beyond temporary sadness or low mood. It can affect how a person thinks, feels, and functions in everyday life. Symptoms may include persistent sadness, fatigue, loss of interest in previously enjoyed activities, feelings of guilt or worthlessness, changes in appetite or sleep, and difficulty concentrating. In some cases, individuals may also experience hopelessness or thoughts of self-harm. Our therapeutic approach is compassionate, structured, and individualized. We work collaboratively with clients to identify negative thinking patterns, address underlying emotional pain, and build healthier coping strategies. Counseling may include CBT, supportive therapy, behavioral activation, and coordination with psychiatric care when medication is beneficial. Our goal is to help individuals restore motivation, rebuild self-esteem, and reconnect with a sense of purpose and hope.
