Diagnostic Laparoscopy

AB Life Care Hospital

Diagnostic Laparoscopy

Diagnostic laparoscopy is a minimally invasive procedure used to examine the organs inside the abdomen and pelvis to identify the cause of unexplained pain, infections, tumors, infertility, or internal injuries. When imaging tests such as ultrasound or CT scans do not provide clear answers, diagnostic laparoscopy allows direct visualization for accurate diagnosis.

The procedure involves inserting a thin camera through a small incision near the navel. This provides high-resolution images of abdominal organs including the liver, intestines, gallbladder, appendix, and reproductive organs. If abnormalities are found, tissue samples (biopsies) can be taken or minor corrective procedures may be performed during the same session.

Diagnostic laparoscopy is safe, involves minimal discomfort, and usually requires a short hospital stay. Recovery is quick, allowing patients to return to normal activities within a few days.

This advanced diagnostic tool helps physicians make accurate treatment decisions while avoiding unnecessary major surgery. Our team ensures precision, safety, and patient comfort throughout the procedure.
