Laparoscopic / Open Cholecystectomy

Laparoscopic or open cholecystectomy is a surgical procedure performed to remove the gallbladder, most commonly due to gallstones, infection, inflammation, or blockage of the bile duct. The gallbladder stores bile that helps in digestion, but when stones form, they can cause severe abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and serious complications such as infection or pancreatitis. Surgical removal of the gallbladder is the most effective and permanent solution for symptomatic gallbladder disease.

Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is a minimally invasive technique performed through small incisions using a camera and specialized instruments. This approach offers faster recovery, minimal scarring, reduced pain, and shorter hospital stay. However, in certain complex cases—such as severe infection, scarring from previous surgeries, or complications—an open cholecystectomy may be recommended to ensure patient safety.

Our surgical team carefully evaluates each patient through clinical examination, ultrasound imaging, and laboratory tests to determine the most suitable surgical method. Postoperative care includes pain management, early mobilization, and dietary guidance to ensure smooth recovery. Most patients can resume normal activities within a short period. With advanced surgical expertise and modern facilities, we ensure safe treatment and excellent outcomes for gallbladder conditions.
