Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy (TLH) is a minimally invasive procedure to remove the uterus using laparoscopic techniques. It is commonly performed to treat conditions such as fibroids, abnormal uterine bleeding, endometriosis, uterine prolapse, and gynecological cancers when conservative treatments are ineffective.

During TLH, surgeons make small abdominal incisions and use a laparoscope and specialized instruments to remove the uterus safely. Compared to traditional open surgery, TLH offers reduced pain, minimal scarring, less blood loss, and faster recovery.

Preoperative evaluation includes pelvic examination, imaging studies, and laboratory tests to determine suitability. After surgery, patients are encouraged to mobilize early and follow postoperative care instructions to promote healing. Most women return to normal activities within a few weeks.
